Temple Football Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
Tue, 18 Nov 2008 22:36:22 PST-

Simply put, Al Golden refuses to take his eye off the ultimate prize.

After all, that's what this, his third season at Temple, has really been about.

The coach knows his team was basically eliminated from the MAC East Division race last week. But he also knows that was a long shot, at best, and that the work just has to continue. His team, his program, just has to keep getting better.

"I think (the players) are starting to understand it is a big step for our program to be competitive in every game," Golden told Monday's MAC media conference call. "Our program has never been competitive in 11 games in a year and I think that's one of the things we have a chance to do, either win the game, competitive meaning either win the game or lose by less than 10 and that's...

Temple Football Notes, Quotes
Wed, 19 Nov 2008 05:00:48 GMT- SCOUTING THE OFFENSE: Temple Football coach Al Golden would love to have Adam DiMichele back for another year, especially when you consider the amount of time the quarterback has missed because of injury over the past two season. "I wish we had him for another year in terms of his growth and maturity," Golden says. He notes that DiMichele is fully back now from that shoulder injury and the passing attack, buoyed by DiMichele and better play from the receivers, is stronger.

Temple Football Strategy and Personnel
Wed, 19 Nov 2008 05:00:48 GMT- THIS WEEK'S GAME: Temple Football vs. Eastern Michigan, Nov. 22 -- The Owls have only played three home games this year and now finish in Philly against EMU and Akron. Temple Football is a 10 1/2-point favorite to raise its record to 4-7, which would give the Owls a shot at topping last year's win total of four. PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB Adam DiMichele is recovered from a shoulder injury and has been able to make the offense more potent.
